Last week a distinguished group of wine merchants and wine writers assembled in Southwold for three days to taste through 250+ wines from the recently released 2004 Bordeaux vintage. Not surprisingly, there was a strong showing from all the First Growths but they were given a serious run for their money by some of their much more modestly priced neighbours.
